The Windham Community Garden Program has been created to serve as an area to be cultivated and used by participants in Windham and the surrounding community to plant flowers, fruits, and vegetables within individual gardening plots designated by the Town of Windham Community Development Department. The I-93 Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) is a New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) 5 year initiative to assist 26 communities that will be affected by the rebuilding and expansion of Interstate 93. These 26 communities include: Allenstown, Atkinson, Auburn, Salem, Bow, Candia, Chester, Concord, Danville, Deerfield, Derry, Dunbarton, Fremont, Goffstown, Hampstead, Hooksett, Hudson, Litchfield, Londonderry, Manchester, Pelham, Pembroke, Raymond, Salem, Sandown, and Windham.
The purpose of CTAP is to promote beneficial patterns of growth among all 26 communities to minimize the negative effects of growth on community services, open space, school systems, traffic, environmental quality, and existing residential and commercial development. Read more...
BACKGROUND: The NH Route 111 Corridor and Wall Street Extension Study is a Town of Windham feasibility study to determine the feasibility of and develop conceptual plans for three interrelated projects as described below. The study will conduct the required feasibility analyses, develop conceptual plans and carry out related services as outlined in Section II. The study is cooperative effort between the Town, the Rockingham Planning Commission and the NH Department of Transportation. The consultant team selected to conduct the study is led by McFarland‐Johnson, Inc. (MJ). The firm was selected by the Project Advisory Committee through an open, competitive process involving the Town, RPC and NHDOT and overseen by the RPC. Read more...
