The Committee works with the Recreation Coordinator to oversee the recreational activities of the Town, including the Town Beach and all park areas. The work closely with a number of various associations involved with sponsoring the activities, and undertake several recreational events each year. For information on some of the programs and activities available, please see this page.

Membership on the Committee consists of five (5) regular and four (4) alternate members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. All appointments, except those made to fill an unexpired term, are for three (3) years and expire in June.
