Update from the Town Clerk:

After careful review and consultation of the Town ballot machine's vending company, the machines were accurate on all areas.  The Town Clerk has complete confidence in the accuracy of these ballot counting machines and the tallies that were produced.   

Here's a synopsis of our findings- On the Town side there were 3 Town Ballots (white) and 1 Zoning Ballot (orange). 

Ballot 1 of 4- The candidate ballot with up until Article 12- counts on all races and questions match exactly what ballots were cast (3248).

Ballot 2 of 4- Article 13-beginning of Article 23- ballots cast were 3 over (3251).  We suspect that throughout the day, there may have been 3 jammed counted ballots that were re-fed into the machines, therefore counting that particular ballot 3 more times.

Ballot 3 of 4- Continuation of Article 23-Article 25-  ballots cast was 1 over (3249).  Again, we suspect that throughout the day, there may have been 1 jammed counted ballot that was re-fed into the machines, therefore counting that particular ballot 1 more time.

Ballot 4 of 4- Zoning Ballot (orange ballot)- ballots cast was short 4 (3244).  Throughout the Election day, and even when absentee voters mentioned when obtaining their ballots prior to Election Day, stated that they didn't want to vote at all on this ballot. We suspect that 4 of the absentee voters (or even regular Election Day voters) may have taken the Zoning ballot completely out and submitted all but this Zoning ballot.
