SELECTMEN'S MEETING
FEBRUARY 3, 2003


MEMBERS PRESENT: Roger Hohenberger, Galen Stearns, Christopher Doyle and Alan Carpenter. Margaret Crisler was excused. David Sullivan, Town Administrator, was also present. Meeting commenced at 7:00 pm.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Wayne Morris announced a meeting for the Bike Feasibility Study on February 11th in Derry.

STORM WATER WORKSHOP: The Board and members of the Storrm Water Committee (David Sullivan, David Poulson, Alfred Turner,and Alan Barlow) met in a workshop to discuss the proposed Storm Water Plan. Mr. Poulson presented the proposed Storm Water program and the requirements to the Board. The following six points were reviewed:

  1. Public Education & Outreach
  2. Public Participation/Involvement
  3. Illicit Discharge Detection & Elimination
  4. Construction Site Runoff Control
  5. Post Construction Runoff Control
  6. Pollution Prevention/Good Housekeeping

The Committee must meet at least twice a year and file an annual report with the EPA. The facilities effected by this regulation (Transfer Station and Salt Shed) were discussed

OTHER BUSINESS: Mr. Stearns motioned and Mr. Carpenter seconded to authorize Mr. Sullivan to sign a letter to the DOT for Mrs. Crisler relative to the Rte 93 project. Passed unanimously.

Mr. Carpenter moved and Mr. Stearns seconded to authorize Mr. Sullivan and Chief Moeckel to submit the grant application for OHRV training and enforcement funds. Passed unanimously.

Mr. Stearns motioned and Mr. Carpenter seconded to forward applications for building permits on private roads under RSA 675:41 to the Planning Department for comment. Passed unanimously.

Mr. Carpenter motioned to adjourn. Mr. Stearns seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm.
