Minutes of October 24, 2001

Mr. Carpenter opened the meeting at 7:30 pm.
NEW BUSINESS:
The BOS wrote a letter to the NHDOT on October 18th requesting that the property at 53 Range Road be maintained as recreational use (e.g., golf course). Discussion ensued as to whether this board should write a letter to the NHDOT supporting the BOS’s request: open space, area impacts, last year’s rezoning, Master Plan, best economic use, Planning Board’s role. Mr. Carpenter ultimately stated that in the absence of a clear consensus on this, no action would be taken by the board at this time.
Ms. Linowes gave the board a brief update on the CIP, and it was decided to have a discussion on November 7th at 7:30 pm.
ROUTE 28 ZONING:
Discussion included: zoning, parcels, boundaries, roads, conflict points, overlay district document, building permits, buffers, driveway cuts and speeds, road widths, driveway parameters. Public input from Sam Nassar: comment on parcel size and likelihood of development; service roads; planned cities; driveway spacing and speed; Aladdin Road access. Public input from Tom Case: driveway permit procedure.
Discussion of procedure for October 30th Public Discussion on this.
Mr. Wilder made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Kolodziej seconded. Sam Nassar had a procedural question relating to the October 30th meeting. Passed 7-0.
