Spring Recreation Offerings WINDHAM TO BE REVALUED IN 2010: The Assessing Office is currently reviewing files to comply with the Department of Revenue’s scheduled re-certification of assessments in 2010. Property inspections have begun and will continue throughout the year. Improvements completed by April 1, 2010 will be assessed. We encourage residents to allow a full inspection to ensure the accuracy of our data collection. If your property has suffered storm damage, I.e. finished basement flooded, tree limbs destroyed a shed, pool, or damaged your home, and the repairs will not be completed by April 1st, please contact the Assessing Office for an inspection. Your 2010 Assessment should reflect what exists as of April 1st. We invite residents to contact our office at 434-7530 with questions, concerns or to discuss the assessment process, and to visit Vision Appraisal online for additional information. The Assessing Office hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm. 2010 Household Hazardous Waste collection dates announced. From the Highway Agent: The old landfill on Marblehead Road will be open for storm debris disposal on March 13th and 27th from 9 AM to 3 PM. NOTICE: We are pleased to announce that the long anticipated Depot Improvement Project will commence on March 15, 2010. Users of the Trail are advised that during the project construction period, which is anticipated to continue until mid-June, access to the Depot parking area will be prohibited. Pedestrian/cyclist Trail users will be diverted around the parking area, to allow uninterrupted passage from the Windham section to the Derry Trail. We offer our apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, but are confident that the end result of this disruption will be well-appreciated by all visitors to the Depot and the Trail. NEW: The Rockingham Planning Commission/CTAP will host a 'How-to Establish a Local Agricultural Commission' on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010. CANDIDATES' NIGHT: Rescheduled to March 2, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Town Hall. SKATE PARK PERMIT CLASSES FOR NON-RESIDENTS: Windham Recreation will be holding classes for non-residents to obtain a skate park permit on the following dates: Sunday, March 28th at 11 am or Sunday, April 11th at 4 pm. Please note that you MUST pre-register! Youth under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent. There is no set date for the skate park to open for the season, but once you have a permit, and the facility opens, skaters will be able to use the park.
