From the Highway Agent - 9/29

To the residents of Telo and Ministerial roads:

This is to inform you of upcoming road paving work that is scheduled to begin in late September and be completed by October 31, 2014. The work will consist of reclaiming portions of the roads, then fine grading of the gravel base followed by installation of new asphalts. After the binder course of pavement on Ministerial Road, the driveways and shoulders will be tied in and/or shimmed, as necessary. This will complete the work in this area for 2014, and at a later date we will do further work both on Ministerial and Gaumont roads to further improve these areas. On Telo Road, the finish layer will be applied and then shoulder shimming will be completed either through loaming and seeding or graveling, as appropriate. This may present a few problems while the work is ongoing, but should not take long and present no trouble upon completion.

We will endeavor to keep one lane open at all times for residents to get in and out, however there may be periods when the road will be closed for a brief time to move equipment into place. We hope to keep problems to a minimum and expect the work to be completed within thirty (30) days from start to finish. This does not mean, however that there will be trucks or equipment on the roads for the thirty days, as the actual work should be done over a few days per road. Should you have sprinklers or other items near the road, we ask that you clearly mark them to prevent damage if possible. We are hopeful when these projects are complete it will create a safer travel way for all who use these roads on a daily basis.

Should there be any questions or concerns please feel free to call us at the highway department at (603) 216-5676 and we will gladly discuss the project and address all concerns to the best of our abilities.

Respectfully submitted,

Jack McCartney, Windham Highway Agent
